"The death penalty has long been a contested issue throughout our nation. In Terre Haute, Indiana, however, it is also a local issue because the city is home to the Federal Correctional Center where for over fifty years all of the executions of people convicted of federal, capital crimes have taken place.
"The recent renewal of federal executions led to the deaths of 13 people within six months (July 14,2020 - January 15, 2021) and compelled members of the InterFaith Council of the Wabash Valley (IFC) to publish this new collection of essays which call for an end to all executions. Included are essays from six authors all of whom are members of the IFC:
Sister Barbara Battista, S.P., Bill Breeden, Terry Gillies-Fear, Arthur Feinsod, Crystal Mikell Reynolds, Michael Zoosman"
